The problem
Section titled “The problem”A long list of transactions is hard to read. You want to see the shape of your spending: where it goes, and when it spikes.
How Porul handles it
Section titled “How Porul handles it”Analytics turns the entries you log through Kakeibo into two views. It shows the numbers and leaves the conclusions to you.
Spending tab
Section titled “Spending tab”Choose This Week, This Month or a Custom date range.
- Kakeibo Matrix. A stacked bar chart with your three domains (Personal, Social, Career) along the bottom. Each bar is split into Need, Want and Oops. Tap a segment to see the exact amount.
- Burn Velocity. One bar per day in the range, so spikes stand out. A switch labelled Exclude Fixed EMIs & Bills changes what the bars show:
- Off (default): each day is your logged spending plus a daily share of your fixed bills and loan EMIs.
- On: only the spending you logged, which lets you see the part you control day to day.
Daily Life Cost tab
Section titled “Daily Life Cost tab”Your Daily Life Cost per day at the top, and below it a donut chart of your whole history split into Need, Want and Oops, with the lifetime total in the centre. Each row shows the amount and its percentage. This view isn’t filtered by date.
Example
Section titled “Example”You choose This Month and see that Social spending is mostly Want, while Career is mostly Need. In Burn Velocity, one tall bar shows a big weekend. You turn on Exclude Fixed EMIs & Bills, and the bar is still tall, so it came from logged spending rather than from a bill. Porul has shown you the fact; what to do about it is up to you.
